Jesus of Nazareth

Before I start this post I like to express that any other person from another race will also be saved when they call upon the Lord. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what you have done. At that time through Jesus Christ these issues are not important anymore. Anyone who turned to God their life matters despite failures and shortcomings. There are numerous ungodly White people, However, the sayings in the Bible will remain.

The main reason for this– and my previous post is only to show through the Bible Who Jesus truly, is.

My previous post may not be a representation of Christianity that Jesus was a Jew, however, the Bible reveals this reasoning quite differently.

Jesus Christ introduced Himself to Paul when he was on his way to Damascus as “I am Jesus of Nazareth.” In two of his epistles Paul confirmed this fact and this is prophesied by Isaiah.

Acts 22:8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth,

Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Revelation 5_5KJB.png

Romans 15:12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

The White people in the world are Israelites. Isaiah’s prophecy

Isaiah 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

That new name we find in,

Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Jeremiah 32_38KJB

And what did Peter, accompanied by John, say to the lame man at the entrance of the temple?

Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Aren’t we denying our heritage by claiming the White people aren’t the Biblical Israel? I was there once as well.

1Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

Many Bible verses in the New Testament are quoted from the Old Testament. We now have a new Covenant, but God’s heritage, promises. and sayings are still the same as are His people. A representation of Christianity does not change this fact.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

  • Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Was Jesus Christ A Jew?

Was Jesus Christ a Jew? Several answers in the Bible tell us and history as well that the Redeemer Jesus Christ was not a Jew. Thus the answer is NO. If Jesus Christ was a Jew HE is another “Jesus” for sure.

To avoid a senseless discussion Jesus Christ is called “King of the Jews” by Pilate. True, but does that prove anything? Did Jesus Christ ever introduce Himself as a Jew? It also applies to the Samaritan woman at the well not knowing, thought Jesus Christ belonged to the Jews.

HE is Jesus Christ

1/– Jesus Christ never introduced Himself as a Jew,

2/– Humanly speaking, Jesus Christ was of the tribe of Judah and of the generation of David. Of course, so was His mother Mary and His guardian Joseph. The generation of David was a particular lineage in the House of Judah. Matthew 1 and Luke 1. Mary and Joseph had to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem to be taxed.

  • Luke 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he (=Joseph) was of the house and lineage of David)

3/– Matthew repeated what the prophets of God prophesied.

  • Matthew 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He (=Jesus Christ) shall be called a Nazarene.

The word “nazar”, “nazarene”, in English means branch.

  • Jeremiah 33:15, In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
  • Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

4/– Although born in Bethlehem, Jesus Christ was brought up in Nazareth. The events, miracles, and His preaching of His Ministry for the greater part were in Galilee. The times Jesus Christ was in Jerusalem was during Passover to fulfill the law. It was then when Lord Jesus threw the tables of the money changers upside down. The third time He suffered and died for our sin and is risen indeed on the third day.

Jesus Christ was first brought to Pilate but then to Herod. And why was that? Because Jesus Christ never was an inhabitant of Judea but of Galilee.

  • Luke 23:5-7 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place. 6/ When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilæan. 7/ And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

5/– In the time of Esther, the Medio-Persian empire had 127 different provinces. The provinces extended from Greece to India, from Turkey to the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. That is quite an empire with a lot of different people. Everybody called themselves Jews. A great part of the people became Jews. All these people became mixed multitudes of different nationalities and perhaps races. Therefore it absolutely, nullifies that the Jews are a pure offspring of Abraham. It is nothing but a mixture.
Was the Blood of Jesus Christ mixed with that of other people? If that were so then the bloodline of Jesus Christ would not have been for 100% pure.

But the Blood of Jesus Christ that paid for our sin and saved us was 100% pure Blood. And because the Blood of Jesus Christ was and is still powerful it cannot be anything different than 100% pure Blood. The pure Blood shed on the cross is the pure Blood of the finished Work we can rest in. The 100% pure Blood that makes us righteous before God.

Truth through history. People who were not even Jews by birth became Jews because they were afraid.

  • Esther 8:17 And in every province, and in because every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

6/– Jesus Christ confronted the Jews. Matthew chapter 23 is the chapter of the woes.

  • Matthew 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
  • Matthew 23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
  • Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell.

The Jews are not his sheep that’s why they don’t hear His voice. The reason why the Jews do not believe is not because of their unbelief. It is simply because that they are not His sheep, to begin with.

  • John 10:26  But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
John 10_27.28KJB.png

7/–If Jesus Christ was a Jew He would have had mixed blood. Jesus Christ from His mother’s side was of the pure blood of the line of David. Mary’s conception. Fully Man.

  • Hebrews 10:5  Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me.

Jesus Christ from His Father’s side was Divine, of pure blood and of incorruptible seed. Fully God.

  • Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

If Jesus Christ would have been born a Jew His Blood would have had no power at all. There would have been no salvation!

When Jesus Christ, the Only High Priest is the most important Person in our lives and our sin is paid for in full with His precious Blood, isn’t it equally important to know Who our Redeemer truly is?

Hebrews 7:13-15 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14/ For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 15/ And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest

When we want to praise and exalt the LORD isn’t this also one way to do this? Instead of holding on to the deception and propaganda of the Edomites (the modern Jews) that they are God’s people? And shouldn’t we stop identifying Jesus Christ as a Jew?

Do the roughly 17 million Jews in the world. qualify for the:

  • “many nations”, Genesis 17:4-5,
  • “into a multitude in the midst of the earth”, Genesis 48:16,
  • “a multitude of nations”, Genesis 48:19?

Isaiah 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

That new name we find in,

Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Does it take the readers out of their comfort zone? It sure did me! But because of God’s never-ending faithfulness and an abundance of His grace, I am blessed.

He Is Not Here!

Biblical Meditation: to read Matthew 28:10

He is not here, for He is risen Matthew 28:6a.

Luke 24_34KJB.png

A shorter message of the Resurrection could not have been given by the angel. But isn’t this proclamation richer and more heavily laden with these few words “He is not here, for He is risen” It says it all for God has herewith said it all! He Who died in an untold shame and given to our sin and is risen to our justification.
The dead will hear the Voice of the Son of God and they will live. The Power of the Resurrection will prevail all battle and will restrain the gates of hell.

The Church of Christ will be guarded. We now have a preview of the sight of the New Heaven and the New Earth. The crown of satan has been pulled from his head. The sepulcher is open, death has no more dominion.
HE, Who restrained by death for us, and our sin has risen with great authority. The Bloodshed of the Saviour is the payment for our sin. Paid in full. The Death of the Saviour is the Victory over the grave. Death could not hold Him.

The women on their way to the Garden of Joseph of Arimathea were not able to suspect this at all. Look at all the herbs and spices they are carrying with them to pay their last respects and love for their Master. It goes without saying. Their faith is nowhere to be found, their hope has vanished for they are looking for Lord Jesus Who is dead. But their search for Him also shows the love that is drawing them to Jesus. Although they don’t know how to reach Him in the grave. But this love does not frighten them for any soldier nor for a stone that is barricading the entrance of the grave. They are continuing their way no matter what. Not because the love of these women would be strong enough. It is a matter of another Love. A Love that is stronger, a Love that is drawing closer. The Love of Him Who exchanges the herbs and the spices of death to the rolled-up linens of the grave. He is calling these women to His open sepulcher to share the joy of New Life. They now have a living Hope. Not the fruit of their searching but through the power of the Resurrection of Christ from the dead!

God has finished the Work of Christ on Golgotha through several signs. In the Garden of Joseph of Arimathea God has shown His wonders illustrating the Victory of Christ. The earth is shaking in a trembling rejoice. Soldiers are frightened because of the lightning. The power of hell is definitely, broken. Angels from Heaven to open the sepulcher and accompany the great Saviour when ascending to the Father. The foreshadowing of the great Day of the LORD, a Day of Hope for all who are IN Christ. Salvation is free and the angels will proclaim the glory of Jesus Christ. The great Day of the LORD, a Day of Judgment for those who do not believe.

But all these signs do not awaken the joy of the Day of the Resurrection. Should these signs frighten us instead that they give us a reason to rejoice? The words of the angel are telling us that the Day ought not to be fearful. The unbelief must go and the love must come into the heart and prevail. A proclamation of a heavenly messenger is needed. For everybody whose heart is possessed by the Love of God will there ever be a happier message proclaimed by the angel?

–Matthew 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, Which was crucified.

His words are like the sound of a trumpet full of joy “He is risen, He is not here”. Yes, He died was buried and He was here. But His death is a victory over the grave. A Victory over the grave so that His own would be granted grace when passed on IN Christ. The Shedding of His Blood is the payment for sin. The mystery of the cross is revealed now the rock of the sepulcher has become the proclamation of the Resurrection. The power of sin and death the Saviour has dethroned. His own will now through grace share in His Resurrection. His Resurrection is a guarantee for all who are passing on IN Him. The voice of the archangel will awaken them. And Christ Jesus will meet His own with welcoming Hands.

Psalms 49_15.1Cor.15_55KJB.png

The Day of the Resurrection does focus our eyes on the last days to come. The last days to come are a guarantee that the end is nigh.

The Work is finished, the triumph has been obtained.
The Prince of Peace is Victorious.
The great Saviour Who was restrained by death for us and our sin HE has risen with great authority.

A Faithful Saying

Part 5 The Child of Bethlehem Biblical Meditation. To read 1Timothy 1-17

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1Timothy 1:15

In the above verse, the words of the apostle Paul are profound as well as forceful. The words are filled with love beyond words. With these words, the apostle is proclaiming the heavenly glad tidings, the birth of the Child of Bethlehem, Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus Who came to earth to deliver from sin and to save sinners.

Paul, confesses this great miracle when God revealed to him Jesus Christ, the Child of Bethlehem. That took some doing because the apostle did in no way intend to follow the road to Bethlehem. On the contrary. What business did he, Saul have on that road that leads to Bethlehem, to the manger?

The words of Paul are not only a testimony of his faith but also a confession of sin and guilt. Because who was the apostle before he bent his knees before Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Jesus Christ as a Saviour? Wasn’t he as Saul persecuting God’s congregation?

The Child of Bethlehem Who came to this world is the greatest miracle ever. The greatest miracle, ever, and for mankind hardly to comprehend.

Although nobody was waiting for Him, He came nonetheless. He knew He was not welcome. He knew there was no place for Him.

The Child of Bethlehem was born in a manger, and He died on the cross. He knew He would die on the cross, for it was for told by God’s prophets and in the Psalms of David. He knew what was coming to Him. He knew what would happen in His life. He knew the way He would die.

Yet, the Christ came. He had to do the Will of the Father. And yet, it was His own doing as well.

Why did the Saviour choose to come to this world? Why come to this world that did not offer Him any good? Why come to this world full of sorrow and sin, loneliness and misjudgment?

But what was He looking for? It makes His coming even harder to understand. He was not looking for anything to be desired. He was looking for people that are lost and need His salvation. But those that are lost are not be desired either.

Matthew 18_11KJB.png

The destiny of the Child of Bethlehem is to deliver those from sin. And to make the atonement with the Father once again. So that people are saved from eternal damnation. His Work and His Destiny only was to come to seek and to save that which was lost.

That is the message of glad tidings when Jesus Christ came into this world as the Child of Bethlehem. And this is as Paul is proclaiming “A Faithful Saying.” We as did Paul, can count on these words.

The Faithful Saying does give us a stronghold in life these days of the end times. We can hardly trust any of the many words that are spoken in this world of deception and half-truths. Not the words the world speaks but the words of God are unerring. We can trust the words beyond the shadow of a doubt. These inerrant words have eternal value.

How did the apostle Paul know? He did experience the truth of these words until his death. He was an example of God’s mercy throughout his ministry. Did not Christ through the apostle proved His longsuffering? And did not Christ put him as an example for all who believe on Him for eternal life? The Child of Bethlehem stopped him, Saul the persecutor in his tracks on the road to Damascus, to grant him an abundance of grace.

The manger is filled with grace, full of mercy for those which are lost. For those who just like Paul need and want God’s grace.

We know we are lost. But can we save ourselves? Every effort from us is doomed to fail. But then the Faithful Saying comes to the rescue, with its comfort and peace for the restless soul. The Faithful Saying is worthy to be accepted by anyone who believes on His Name.

The Only Saviour

The Child Of Bethlehem: The Only Saviour Part 3 Biblical Meditation: To read Matthew 1:18-25

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied the Name of the Only Saviour by the Name of Immanuel “God with us”. In this prophecy, a mystery is hidden in the Name giving. “Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son”.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, “God with us.”

  • Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

The mystery of the Only Saviour is still invisible behind the garment of His mother. The mystery of the Child of Bethlehem is revealed through the heavenly Name giving of Jesus by the angel Gabriel. “and thou shalt call him JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins”

With the Name, Jesus – given Him by the Father – Mary’s Child came into this world. The Name Jesus was known before He was born. Not only was the Birth proclaimed, but also drawn. For the Life will be begotten by God’s Holy Spirit and must be declared by the LORD. How would Joseph otherwise have understood the mystery of the motherhood of Mary?

A glad tiding for His guardian father who was under the law. But that does not only apply to the guardian and the mother of the Lord Jesus. That applies to every sinner who will know and love the Name of Mary’s Child. The wonderful Name of Jesus.

Luke 1_46.47KJB.png

The Child in the manger full of grace. The Man of Sorrow nailed our sin to the cross and covered our sin with His Blood.

The wonderful Name of Jesus brings glad tidings and is proclaimed worldwide. Forceful and appealing. Comforting and hopeful. The Name is not thought of by mankind. This Name comes from- and is given by God alone. The Name is not given after but before deliverance. The Name was given ahead of time to ensure the divine guarantee for deliverance. The Saviour came and He is the Guarantee for salvation. The Guarantee is eternally anchored in the Name appointed and praised by the Father.

Joseph had to give the Holy Child the Name Jesus because the Child is the only Saviour. He will surely bring salvation to his people and deliver them from sin.

Like the great Prophet, He proclaims the Name of the Father. As the only High Priest, He shall atone the sin of His people with the Father. And as the Everlasting King, He shall bring His people under the scepter of His grace.

All of the Law shall be fulfilled to the very end. All His Life from the manger to the cross His Name was Jesus.

The cross is visible to the eyes of all, where God inscribed the Name. Here it is, where God reveals the Heavenly Name. And while doing so He crosses off all our Names! Glory to God only.

The Name of Mary’s Child has become heavy under the weight of sin. But the Name also brings a joy banishing all grief and a blessedness beyond measure. Because the Name brings an abundance of grace. The Name is full of power; the power to believe, the power to endure, but also the power to hope, for now, and for the time to come. In life and death God is graceful.

As God’s children the Saviour will always be in our presence.

The posts: the Highest Prophet, the Only High Priest, and the Everlasting King are categorized under “The Gospel of Jesus Christ”.

The Everlasting King!

The Child of Bethlehem: The Everlasting King Part 3 Biblical Meditation, To read Luke 1:26-33. John 19:17-22.

Luke 1:35 And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.

The inscription above the cross relays the same message as the proclamation of the Birth of Christ. “Jesus is the King of the “Jews””!
One message on the cross is inscribed by Pilate; words of scorn. The other message at the time of the Birth of Jesus is proclaimed by the angel Gabriel; Saviour which is Christ the Lord, words of comfort and salvation. In both messages, God is pointing to His Child the Messianic King Who shall sit on the throne of David.

When we look at the inscription of Pilate in depth we must believe the words of Gabriel as did Mary. Faith only shows the glory of the Child of Bethlehem. The non-spiritual eye cannot see the royalty of the Child in the manger nor the Man of Sorrow on the cross.

Faith discerns the still hidden glory. The Messias, the Prince of Peace shall reveal the hidden glory, Who is promised to Israel, Abraham’s seed in the ancient days. This promise is fulfilled in Bethlehem where the Saviour comes into the world. A world that is full of guilt and shame. The Ruler over Israel shall be of the Root of David.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

The Messias shall come as the Everlasting King of Righteousness. In the fullness of time, God’s Son was brought forth of a woman from the tribe of Judah. He shall rule in Zion, the city of David.

Revelation 5_5KJB.png

The Messias shall come as the Everlasting King and Redeemer, at His Birth worshiped by the three wise men from the far East. “Jesus King of the “Jews”” * (see footnote and link) the words Pilate wrote. But Christ Jesus shall return and will be the Everlasting King to all kindreds, people, and nations. He shall sit on the throne of David.

The inscription on the cross was written in three languages. The little town of Bethlehem was to be known throughout the world. Meanwhile, the glory of the Kingdom remained hidden. He walked among us but remained incognito. His Life between the manger and the cross was without any glory and splendor. The way through this world went deep and caused loneliness and disruption. In the end, the mocking words remained on the cross.

The inscription indeed remained. It could not be changed. What Pilate had written, he had written according to God’s instruction, What the angel Gabriel proclaimed was spoken by God. That’s why Pilate only could acknowledge in writing what the messenger announced and foretold. The Lord GOD will give Him the throne of David and the Anointed shall be King over the House of Jacob forever.

He was promised and expected ages ahead of time. Angels sang to his glory. The prophets prophesied, about Him with delight. The Everlasting King would come in righteousness. His glorious rule was proclaimed in powerful words. And to His Kingdom shall be no end.

How blessed for Mary. The angel Gabriel spoke to her familiar words. Didn’t David, the man after God’s heart, already have the promise that his kingdom would be an Everlasting Kingdom?

This promise derived from David’s Kingdom is the deep and rich fulfillment in Him. The throne of David shall have more than earthly splendor. The eternal contours shall give their brilliance worldwide. The angels from heaven shall sing peace on earth. The LORD shall judge in righteousness. The Anointed shall heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim liberty to them that are bruised. To the poor, He will preach salvation. He shall rule with justice, wisdom and, meekness.

The Kingdom of Heaven, to all nations according to the promise given to Abraham and ordained by the Father of Christ. A wonderful Kingdom. For it is the Kingdom of the Son of God. A Kingdom full of God’s Love!
The Child of Bethlehem, Jesus Christ, is Precious in the eyes the of Father, has also become precious in the eyes of His children.

The Israelites and all nations are looking forward to the re-building of the Kingdom of Heaven of the Everlasting King!

Remember The LORD Thy God

Followers, the best wishes for a good and healthy New Year.

A wonderful and all-embracing promise for this first day of the New Year in Joshua 1:9.

Joshua 1_9KJB.png
Barbary Lion

The Old Year has passed with its dark days, its fearful hours having its sorrows and disappointments. The year of the corona-virus and its outbreak that started in China the year before. The coronavirus that caused the passing away of loved ones and friends.

Today, we are heading into an unknown future. Just like Joshua, who had to lead the Hebrew people into Canaan Land. The walls barricading Jericho were high, and the gates were closed. He did not know what he was up against.

“Be not afraid the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest”. In Jesus Christ, this LORD thy God is our LORD thy God.

The eternal faithfulness will remain with God’s children beyond the shadow of a doubt. As Joshua led the Hebrew people into Canaan Land despite the barricading walls. So will Jesus Christ lead us into the Heavenly Canaan Land. The Heavenly Canaan Land where the many mansions of the Father are.

All the children of the Most High can enter this New Year unknown to us with the All-Knowing God. Verily, not one of the words will be lost God once spoke to Joshua. Let us learn to wait for the Saviour.

The Waiting on Jesus Christ is more than worth it to be in the everlasting Presence of the Saviour. Either by God taking His children Home or with the Second Coming of the LORD.

The moment the soul leaves the body it is too late to reconsider. When we change the temporary for eternity the time has stopped running. When we are not saved we are living in borrowed time.

Where will the non-believers be? Where will the “Christians” be with their corrupt bible versions? Revelation 20:14-15

The Only High Priest

The Child of Bethlehem: Part 2 The Only High Priest.
Biblical Meditation: 1Samuel 2:27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?

to read: Hebrews 2:10-18

Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people

Not only as the Highest Prophet but also as the Only High Priest is the coming of the Child of Bethlehem foretold. By the service in the tabernacle and in the temple, His Priesthood is high lighted in the liturgy of the Day of the Holy Convocation. But also the Promise is foretold in the Psalms and by the Prophets. A star is shining above the generation of the priesthood of Eli; a star of Messianic Hope:

1Samuel 2:35 And I will raise me up a faithful Priest, That shall do according to that which is in Mine heart and in My mind: and I will build him a sure house;

There is no question at all Who this is and Who has fulfilled the Word of Promise.

By the Birth of Christ, God did raise a faithful Priest. He performed everything that was in the Heart of God. He fulfilled all the Will of the Father. That is why a sure house was built. It is His eternal Priesthood after the order of Melchisedec.

A prophetic word –full of expectation– is reflecting that the apostle Paul is describing in verse 17 of Hebrews 2. The apostle shows here crystal clear the heavenly Priesthood of Jesus Christ. As a Priest, He outshines the priest Eli. Also, the priesthood of Aaron is losing its brilliance by the glory of the Child of Bethlehem. This unique Priesthood is hidden in His manger,

Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

  • Psalms 2:2 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

The Son left all the glory of the Father to become Man to dwell with mankind. God manifested in the flesh that is God’s mystery of godliness and devotion. He Who was worshiped by angels, humbled Himself to be among brethren, to be equal to them. The Son took part in our life by His death to re-gain power over our death and to dethrone the devil over the grave. The Son became our flesh and blood to deliver us. To deliver us who were in bondage of sin and death.

The Son was not ashamed to call us His brethren. Although He had all the reason not to do so. Because who are we Who is sanctifying us in His Priesthood? For whom did the Son want to do the Work of the Father? For mankind whose life is broken and marked by sin. Mankind, we who are the cause of our death and do deserve it. Didn’t we turn away from God to accept the lie of the father of lies from the beginning?

For us did hide the Child of Bethlehem the divine luster. His divine luster in exchange for the world’s dullness of the sinful and gloomiest life of mankind.

For –oh deep mystery!- the High Priest was sent to us by God. To us who are full of guilt and shame. God’s goodwill and grace toward mankind.

  • That is why as God’s Prophet He came to us to reveal God’s deliverance.
  • That is why as God’s High Priest He came to search for us to be a Sacrifice, to save us.

It included from the very beginning all the catastrophic consequences that were related to Him. He fully submitted and unconditionally surrendered in total devotion to the Will of the Father. The High Priest was not in search of glory to perform this Heavenly Priesthood. He was called by Him Who spoke:

  • Hebrews 5:6 Thou art a Priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.
  • Hebrews 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

At the same time, this heavy burden was carried by an unfathomable Love for His brethren. and atonement of sin.

It was a wonderful and yet difficult task for the high priest. He was called to reconcile for the people! He alone was to approach God to make to Him the blood atonement in the inner Sanctuary. The priest had to perform a difficult task to repair the relationship with God. He was not allowed to deviate those things that were important to God to obtain peace and blessing.

This all-enfolding service of the high priest reached into the heart of God. For in this service of atonement the work he did came from the heart of God. This mystery was the warranty and the power for atonement. Therefore only the high priest was allowed to bring the blood behind the veil, to light the incense, and to return with God’s blessing. From the heart of God, he also had to be faithful to the very end as he was obligated from this fountain of eternal love to show mercy during his service.

Wasn’t the earthly priesthood of sacrifice, prayer, blessing, and atonement a prophetic symbolism of Christ as the High Priest?

  • Christ, as the High Priest Who would come indeed for the atonement of sin.
  • Christ, as the High Priest Who came to prepare Himself as a Sacrifice to leave the earthly priesthood of Aaron forever far behind Him.
  • Christ, the High Priest Who received from the Father the covenant of the everlasting and incorruptible Priesthood to the order of Melchisedec.

That is why the High priest can fully sanctify us so that we by Him can go to the Father. This High Priest we need Who can have compassion with our weaknesses because He was in all things equal to us but without sin.
God placed this High Priest in the manger near our feet.
The High Priest showed mercy and was moved with inner compassion to lost sinners. The High Priest fulfilled His service with a never-ending Love of His tempted brethren.

What else can we do then to hold on to the confession of this High Priest? Let us go daily to the manger; that He may help us to receive mercy and find grace; that He may help us in our guilt and shame in our sorrow and temptation; that He may grant us grace in our lives and in our passing on.

To be justified by God, there is no way we can do without the High Priest.

But this High Priest is all we need for now and forever!

Previous part 1 The Highest Prophet

The Highest Prophet

The Child of Bethlehem: Part 2 The Highest Prophet. Biblical Meditation. To read: Deuteronomy 5:22-28 and 18:15-18.

Deuteronomy 18:15  The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken;

When God made His covenant with His people Israel and gave His Law, Moses received a Promise. During this powerful event on the foot of Mount Sinai, the people were full of trembling to hear the awe-inspiring voice of God. The people did not dare to listen. They asked Moses to be their mediator.

Deuteronomy 5:27 Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

This vocation as a prophet to receive the word of God and to deliver the word of God to the people Moses did fulfill this task faithfully for many years. It is all now coming to an end as Moses will be relieved of his vocation. Who will now deliver the will of God to the people? Will the LORD keep silent now Moses does not speak anymore?

At this time just before his passing on Moses, the man of God delivers the mystery to the people. The mystery of the Awaiting that was hidden in the unparalleled house of Moses. And just this mystery that Moses kept as the most precious treasure for many years is now revealed. The most precious treasure was the empowerment for Moses to perform in his house as a mediator. The empowerment has given him encouragement and hope while he released the rod of God from his hands.

We do not need to ask Who is hidden in this title. Isn’t Christ the highest Prophet Who would come into this world? Especially concerning the prophecy of the Bible verse, it becomes crystal clear that His Life’s Work as the apostle Paul is saying:

Hebrews 3:3 For this Man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He Who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

The life and the house of Moses are a typology, a representation of Christ. Moses was called by God to a task that is very different than of any other prophet. Moses delivered the Hebrew people out of bondage taught and lead the people through the desert. Moses who received God’s Law, Moses the warrior, the advocate, the mediator was as a servant of God a meek man toward the stiff-necked and always complaining people. The man of God who carried God’s Name in his heart and was focused on the well-being of the people.

That’s why Moses was able to say that God was to raise a Prophet “like unto me.” To the house of Moses, the image of Christ is exalted.

At the same time, we understand that the truth exceeds the shadow. In the light of Christ, the luster of Moses becomes dull. The highest Prophet, after all, descended from God Himself.

Hebrews 8_6.KJB.png

The highest Prophet knew the truth of God by what He had seen and heard from the Father as the only begotten Son of God. He has accepted and fulfilled the will of the Father. As the only begotten Son He made known the Way and the Truth.

Moses knew God and, the Hebrew people knew Moses as their brother who approached God in their name prayed for them when they were murmuring and disobedient. Israel needed Moses as their mediator. But we sure do need a Prophet as did Israel.

HE Who was moved with compassion about those that were lost.
HE Who was meek and lowly at heart.
HE Who has taken defamation and scorn.
In Him was abuse and scorn of all the prophets fulfilled. Knowing this all nonetheless He went this way to become equal to his brethren.

Matthew 18:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

Mark 6:34  And Jesus, when He came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and He began to teach them many things.

The highest Prophet called by God to be in amid of His brethren whose flesh and blood He took on.

This Prophet to Whom we can go to with all the needs for our soul.
This Prophet in Whom we can rest from our heavy burden.
This Prophet from Whom we may receive the words of the new- and everlasting Life.
This Prophet Who is our only Mediator and Advocate to the Father.

Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

  • Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

This is the Prophet given unto us by God Himself. But by the words of Moses to God our prayers and thoughts go much higher than the top of Mount Sinai and Mount Nebo. Our words climb, all the way up to Heaven for the highest Prophet is called. And, from where He came to make known the Name of the LORD. God Who has once spoken through Moses and the prophets in many ways and many times has now -in these Last Days!- spoken through the Son. In Him God’s will of deliverance is made known to mankind who do not know- or do not desire to know- the Way of God.

Nobody of the Hebrew people did ask for Moses! However, God sent Moses out of His free will to deliver Israel from the Egyptian bondage. Nobody did or does ask for the Child of Bethlehem. God did send Him for the deliverance of mankind.

How much then are we called to listen to the Voice of the Prophet speaking of Life- and Love Everlasting. And Moses says emphatically:

–unto Him ye shall hearken” Deuteronomy 18:15.

Lord Jesus did not come to be worshiped. HE came to be heard. Lord Jesus was not a servant but the highest Prophet Who came to serve.

Our voices are silenced for His gentle Voice is speaking of salvation by grace.

To be continued 2 The Child of Bethlehem: The Only High Priest.

God’s Judgment as a Remembrance.

In several parts of the world, the Covid-19 is popping up again. The contamination is increasing. The number of people that catch the coronavirus is rising. People are frightened. Governments again did put stricter rules and measures into place to suppress the virus. New lockdowns for cafes and restaurants will be at least for the coming four weeks. Face masks are mandatory in grocery stores, shops, and other public buildings. Regular medical care in hospitals again is put on the back burner.

“Together we can do it. When vaccinations become available we will have the coronavirus under control”.

The world has not gone mad. No, it is the humanity in the world that has gone mad. The apostasy of the gay- parades, the carnivals, the drugs and alcohol, the discos, the idolatry, the same gender marriages, the transgenders, and many other wicked matters in life that have the power over the majority. The power of familiar spirits.

But aren’t we forgetting that the Almighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth has everything under His control? Did it ever occur to us that God not only allows the corona pandemic to happen? But that HE has caused the pandemic to happen. As a warning, a warning to take a step back and to come to our senses?

2Samuel 24:15  So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer–sheba seventy thousand men.

Ezekiel 28:23 For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

2Chronicles 21:14 Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:

Pandemics have happened before, We think about the Spanish flu of 1918/ 1919. The virus has been roaming around until the late fifties of the last century. And still nobody knows exactly how it all started.

Jude 1:5-7 The Apostle Jude is writing in his epistle to believers and he is reminding them, the life of sin they once lived. They also were disobedient to God.

  • 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
  •  6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
  • 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

In verse 5 Jude is referring to the story of Numbers 13.

  • The Israelites did not believe God that they could enter the Land flowing of milk and honey. Ten spies said they could not enter the Promised Land. (Numbers 13:31, 32)
  • Caleb said they could enter the Promised Land. (Numbers 13:30)
  • Unbelief versus belief. Of all the Hebrew people who left Egypt, only Joshua and Caleb entered the Promised Land.
  • In Numbers 14:20 God was going the smite the people with pestilence.
  • In verse 21 Moses is pleading with God. Moses in this event is a representation of Christ as a mediator.

In verse 6 Jude is referring to the fallen angels, the sons of God. Part of the angels followed satan and left their first estate.

  • 2Peter 2:4. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.

In verse 7 Jude is referring to the wicked people in Sodom and Gomorrah. All the people died, except for Lot and his family. God consumed the cities with fire and brimstone.

  •  Genesis 19:23-25  The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
  • 24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
  • 25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
  • The story is in Genesis 19.

When God through His grace pulled you away from a false religion don’t take a part of that belief or anything tangible with you. Leave everything behind. It is a representation of Lot’s wife looking back. Genesis 19:26. Yes, also that rosary chain that you think is so pretty. It will destroy your soul. That cross is empty, the sin is paid for with the Blood of the Saviour. Jesus Christ is now at the Right Hand of the Father.

That modern bible version, get rid of that book. The dirt of God’s adversary is smeared all over the pure Word of God. And it is heavy poison to the soul.

God does everything by the Book. What happened in Biblical times also applies to us in the present time and for the time to come.

The Holy Ghost is pointing us to God’s Word. The Holy Ghost is pointing us to an angry God and His judgments. upon this earth. There are several clear examples in the Bible. For now, all His judgments are to warn us.

The Holy Ghost is reminding us of Jesus Christ the only Redeemer. Jesus Christ Who took our sin upon Him, The fierce anger of the Father, like a fire, it all came down upon the Saviour. The Saviour consumed the wrath of God. All our sins were consumed by the Saviour. It was the only way to make us free from sin and to stand justified before the Holy God.

The true Bible believer, the believer in Christ recognizes these judgments. The non-believers, those who mock God do not recognize the judgments because they don’t understand God. They don’t know Who the Almighty God is and what He stands for. That is because they don’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling within. HE is the Spirit of Truth.

The non-believers pushed God to the very edge of society. The fools don’t want the Most High to reign over them. They don’t want God’s grace by His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. They want no salvation.

God’s judgments are terrible and beyond words. God’s grace is a joy beyond measure.

Flee, oh flee to the foot of the cross, the cross of Golgotha. Jesus Christ paid for our sin with the shedding of His precious Blood and regained the power over the grave with His death.

Ask on the foot of the cross for the forgiveness of sin and bring anyone with you who also needs salvation. God will reject no one. You shall be fully protected.

Psalms 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Psalms 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Psalms 91_4KJB.png

Psalms 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

The I Am That I Am came and HE became one of us.

The following are the words of a dear friend of mine and a brother IN Christ JoshFX.

John 1_29KJB.png

Once we are Born Again, and are then ‘IN‘ Christ Jesus, ALL our prayers, and intersession between us here on Earth, and The Throne Room of The Almighty, where Christ sits, at the Right Hand of The Father, interceding on our behalf…are presented in the way, and manner, in which we are expected to communicate our needs. This is one of the reasons that Believers close their Prayer requests with, “In The Name of Jesus….”

We have to always keep in mind, that JESUS is now our ALL…. and our….EVERYTHING….

  • HE is now our Healer.
  • HE is now our Provider.
  • HE is now our High Priest.
  • HE is not just our Saviour, but also…our LORD.
  • In HIM is found, for The Believer, The Fullness of The Godhead. ‘HE‘ is The Way, The Life, and The TRUTH.
John 14_6KJB.png

I rejoice ‘IN‘ my Saviour every day….and call out loud…

Thank YOU Jesus, for YOUR Atoning Blood. Amen.

Jesus Christ, The Only Way tho Salvation
